As a general rule for duvets, the higher the proportion of down in the filling, the higher the quality of the duvet.
Many people believe that a down duvet is far too warm in summer. However, down is a small miracle of nature and is regarded as a form of air conditioning for the bed. It has excellent heat-retention properties, yet is also highly breathable and regulates moisture.
Of course, the desired lightness in summer depends on the fill weight and also on the quality of the down. As a general rule for down duvets, the higher the proportion of down in the filling, the higher the quality of the duvet.
The very best-quality down duvet is filled with 100 per cent down – this makes it the lightest, whilst at the same time offering everything you need for a wonderful, cosy and comfortably warm sleeping space.
This summer down duvet stands out, on the one hand, for its exceptionally soft cover made from fine down batiste and, on the other, for its particularly high-quality down filling.
It goes without saying that the down used in this product (and in ALL our products!) is guaranteed not to come from live-plucked birds. For our down products, we guarantee that we use only virgin down, Class 1 in accordance with EN 12934. All down and feathers used come exclusively from slaughtered animals – without compromise. We can verifiably confirm that we do not use down or feathers obtained through live plucking or from force-fed liver production. We work exclusively with suppliers who can provide transparent and comprehensive documentation of the origin of the raw materials.
